Every great adventure starts with a single question. Here's how our curious best friends found their voices — and their box of magical crayons.
When we started sketching Milo & Mila's Adventures, we knew one thing for certain: our heroes would not be the characters with all the answers. They would be the ones brave enough to ask the questions.
Milo and Mila don't have all the answers. That's the whole point.
Milo and Mila are curious best friends with very big imaginations. They carry a box of magical crayons everywhere they go — not because the crayons solve their problems, but because each one helps them explore a question a little further. Blue for wondering. Yellow for imagining. Green for growing.
Their running joke arrived by accident during a storyboarding session: Milo can never find his crayons, and Mila always finishes his sentence before he can ask where they went. Our test audiences of four-year-olds found this funnier than we ever expected. It stayed.
